Good morning everyone! We are down to are last few days of the semester and for your final assignment of the semester you will complete a research project on one of the major events of the Cold War (1945-1991). If you didn't watch the Crash Course video on the Cold War from yesterday, please do so before beginning the final project, as it provides a good introduction to the topic. Please download the project instructions and rubric below and read through it in its entirety. The final project consists of the following parts: 1. You will begin by looking up six Cold War vocabulary terms and providing an accurate definition for each. You will submit these definitions with your final project. 2. Next, you will pick one of the 15 Cold War topics suggested in the instructions and research it. 3. Fill out the "Research Chart" as you research your selected Cold War topic. You will turn these notes in with your final project. The websites below are a great starting point for academic research:
5. Share your project with me via Turnitin.com or email, [email protected], by Tuesday, 5/19. Under no circumstances should you copy and paste information from the internet! Plagiarism of any kind will result in a 0 and the project will not go in the grade book. Your information will be based on research but must be presented in your own words. Don't waste your time if you are planning to steal others work. This final project will go in the grade book as 20% of your final grade. If you complete the project and it meets or exceeds the expectations outlined in the rubric, you will receive a 100 in the grade book. Not completing this project will not hurt your grade.
